Workshops and Tours
The library offers a variety of free workshops to ensure your research skills are up-to-date. Tours of the library are also available. Fall 2009 workshops include topics such as: Library Research, Web Research, Citation, Google, Google Earth Pro, EndNote, SciFinder, Zotero, Newspapers, Microfilm, and much more. Research Guides and Tutorials
The library staff has put together a series of research guides and tutorials to assist researchers. Print, video and self-guided onlineguides and tutorials are available covering subjects such as: how to perform research at the university level, how to use STARS (the library catalog), how to use Galaxy (SBU's article search tool), APA and MLA citation formats, and specialized searching in specific databases.
